KPlot
KPlot is a free standalone plotting tool that is used to compare time series results from multiple different common EMT and phasor-domain simulation software. Interactively plot Kestrel EMT (.hdf5), Siemens PTI PSS/E (.out), PSCAD (.inf/.out), Comma Separated Values (.csv), and HDF5 files alongside eachother. It also supports plotting of .raw point-on-wave data from the KGRID Project.

Plot tools such as KPlot are indespensible for the ensuring compliance for new generation interconnections. System impact studies and model quality tests involving pertinent standards such as NERC MOD-026, IEEE 2800, and PRC-029 all require rigorous vetting of EMT models against phasor-domain models. KPlot offers a robust .xml plot definition format for easy incorporation into automation for other planning tools.
Beyond interconnection studies and even power systems engineering, KPlot, with its support for general purpose formats (HDF5 and CSV) is well suited for analysis of many different types of scientific and engineering data.
KPlot is available for Windows, and can optionally be installed separately from Kestrel EMT using the same Kestrel EMT Setup Installer.
